Statutory conformity rights
Consumer purchases of goods generally carry a two-year conformity period. A defect identified during the first year is presumed to have existed at delivery unless incompatible with the nature of the goods or defect. Repair or replacement is normally available first; a proportionate price reduction or termination is available when the statutory conditions are met.
Producer liability and warranties
Statutory product remedies allow repair or replacement claims against the producer under the applicable conditions. Covered new durable consumer goods also carry the applicable mandatory Hungarian warranty, without limiting conformity or withdrawal rights.
